-Getting in shape
-Cleaner house
-A women who could memorize and quote scripture
Continually striving, yet never arriving.
Hoping, praying to be different, only waking up to find you're not as far along as you'd hoped to be.
Well that's ok cause we are all a work in progress.
I am a Martha busy with many things. Sometimes to the degree I don't get to do the important things. Just like Martha I don't just sit at Jesus's feet. Well doing the bible study should help and also this book and I am so happy to be doing it with my Smish.
She said one of the most comforting things was that "none of us has it all together"
Can we say, "AMEN SISTER!!!"
God wasn't condemning Martha for her efficiency or saying that she had to be like Mary for Him to love her. Just that she shouldn't miss out on the intimacy with Him when she was so busy with the service for Him.
I remember the Lord showing me this one year during VBS. You feel like you are doing it all for the Lord and you take the time to cut paper when you should be reading the lesson.
*God never withholds good, except when He has something better to give.
-Balance between working hard for Him and sitting at His feet is what we need to work on.
-I'm so glad we have a Savior who loves us just as we are, but loves us too much to leave us that way.
-I want to say Yes to Gods plan even when it seems hard or challenging. (He will be with me every step)
-He only stirs us when He wants to change us. He only make us feel uneasy with where we are so we're willing to do whatever it takes to get where He is.
